Thursday morning, we headed down to Panama City to do the pirate cruise. We were all pretty excited about this! We had to be there at 8:30 am, so it was an early start to the morning, but we thought it might be cooler to do it early, and it was! We arrived early, and I'm glad we did because we were able to get a great seat on the boat.
We were very impressed with how organized this ride was. It was two hours long, and they had every second planned out for the kids. It was super cute. They told the adults to sit back and enjoy the ride and don't worry about the kids...my kind of morning! Ha!
They started with a water gun fight, which was a big hit. Of course, with every activity they had, there was music that went along with it, and it was just perfect!
Hudson shooting the pirate!
Then, since the floor was all wet, all the boys had to swab the deck! The girls went and got their faces painted while the boys took care of business!
Then, it was the boys turn to get their faces painted.
Hudson chose a mustache and Harrison had a whale on his cheek!
And of course they were adorned with these cute little hats too!
Then, there was a sword fight.
After the sword fight, all of the kids went down to the lower deck for a story about a hidden treasure. When they came back up, they all went to the front of the boat to see if they could find a buoy with an X on it, which meant they had found the treasure! Then, they had to pull the treasure box out of the water!
They had the kids sit around in a circle while they opened it to see what was inside!
And then each kid got to go share in some of the treasure.
I also must mention we saw dolphins on the ride too! So neat!
After the treasure box, they had a pirate party, compete with the limbo and a conga line! I had no idea that Hudson knew how to do the limbo!
Then, they ended with tattoos, which Hudson asked for his on his forehead. I hope this is not a prediction of how our future is going to look like! Ha!
My favorite picture of the day! Hudson and the pirate! (Harrison loved him too, but didn't want to get too close!)
What a fun morning! I highly recommend this! We will certainly be doing it again.
