Memorial Day Weekend at the Cabin

School got out on a Thursday, and Friday morning, we headed up to the cabin. On the way, we stopped at Tigers for Tomorrow near Gadsden. This is a rescue center for tigers (and other animals!). We've been before when Hudson was little, but Harrison had never been. It truly is an amazing place! You get SO close to the animals that you feel unsafe, but it's super neat. You are not allowed to take pictures, so we only got one outside! It was a fun little side trip.

Saturday, we headed over to Chattanooga to do the ropes course near Ruby Falls. The boys LOVED it! We will definitely be back. We just did the children's course this time, but I think the boys are ready for the real deal next time.

Don't we all look cute in our hard hats?!?

It was a really fun way to spend a couple of hours. When we got back to the cabin, Rooney and Carrie had arrived! You can tell Harrison was happy!

Sunday morning, we headed down to the lake to check on progress of the new house. We did a little fishing too. Man, the fish were biting that day! All the kids caught one!

 Even Rooney caught one!
Definitely not so sure about it!
I think Rooney and the fish are making the same face! :)

Lilla was there too and we got a cousin pic! Well, kind of...I guess Rooney and Lilla technically aren't cousins, but they are close enough!

We had such a fun weekend and a great start to summer!

Family Wedding in Roswell

I forgot to put these pictures on the blog, but back in early May, my cousin got married in Roswell, GA. It was such a fun weekend with family that we do not get to see very much! Unfortunately, I did not get any extended family pics!

Saturday morning, the boys really needed some energy out so we found this cute little park area in Roswell that had the prettiest covered bridge and hiking trails. It was a very chilly weekend for May, but the weather really was beautiful.

Then the boys decided it would be a great idea to go swimming. It was freezing and they were insane. It did not last long!

Then it was wedding time! The boys looked so dapper in their seer sucker and bow ties!

 Family pic!

The wedding was beautiful, although I have no pictures of the bride and groom! Shame on me! We did have a fabulous time at the reception. The boys literally danced the entire night long! And we had a little (or a lot of) fun in the photo booth!

Harrison kept going and getting items from the photo booth and put each one on and asked that I take his picture. It was so funny!

Great weekend in Roswell and congrats to Alan and Kat! Thanks for letting us be a part of it!
